A year early, some underclassman find their way to Prom.  Many sophomores have been scrambling to find last-minute dresses and hair appointments in preparation for the dance on April 6.

“I wasn’t planning on going to Prom my 10th-grade year, so all of the preparations that girls have been doing for months I have to do in two weeks,” Maddie Brownlie said. “So far all of my last-minute plans have worked out so the unexpected Prom-posal didn’t worry me that much.”

Sophia Mandese said she is unbothered by the rapidly approaching date.

“I’m just trying to have fun I’m not too worried about dresses or dinner plans,” she said.

Junior Cheyne said he’s learned an important lesson during this Prom season.

“My date has been so crunched on time recently for prom,” he said. “I had no idea how much goes into Prom night. I will definitely ask my date earlier next year.”
