“Drive” over to the Daily Bread

“The food drive will support the Daily Bread,”  club sponsor Cindy Farrington said, “which is our local community place where anybody, homeless or financially struggling,  can go to eat. They can also shop in the pantry to supply food for their families.”

Beta Club is putting brown bags with food drive signs in all first period classes for a week. This is not only allowing the student body to take part in a good cause by donating canned foods, it also raises awareness. President Robbie Breininger is taking part in the food drive for the first time and really wants to make a difference.

“I really want to see, can we get the people to help with the program?” the senior said. “I want to support all the homeless people.”

After the week of collecting, Beta club will go to the Daily Bread and hand deliver the food to their pantry.
