Sheedy paces girls’ soccer victory

Junior Diana Sheedy scored three goals in the girls’ soccer 3-1 victory against against Satellite on Tuesday night. Down 1-0 at the start of the second half, the girls fought back to score three goals nearing the end of the game.

“We proved that we wanted it more, and never gave up even though we were down,” Sheedy said.

Assistant Coach Chuck Keener praised the team for fighting for the win.

“We were very patient and persistent till we cracked it open,” Keener said. “A team that bunkers back its defense makes it hard to score.”

Sheedy put away three goals in the second half, and said she knew she had to make a difference in the game.

“I couldn’t have asked for a better win,” Sheedy said.
The girls’ record is 10-1-1. Their next home game is tonight  against Astronaut, which is also the team’s Senior Night.
