Girls’ defeat soccer rival at home

The girls’ varsity soccer team won 5-1 against Eau Gallie High School on Tuesday night at home.

After a 1-1 tie at the half, the Lady Wildcats came back and scored four goals in the second half.Junior Diana Sheedy said the victory was the result of the team controlling the game in the second half.

Senior captain Rae Antenucci said there were a few positives about the game.

“We out-played the other team, but let an easy goal in,” Antenucci said. “We did well with passing in small spaces.”

Head Coach Tony De La Hoz was satisfied with the result.

“The team started slow, but then they found themselves on the field,” he said.

The next home game has been scheduled for Nov. 7. JV starts at 5:30, and varsity starts at 7 p.m.
