For the first time this year, the Purrfections dance team will not be performing at a scheduled pep rally.
“We took time off and dancers had other commitments on top of tryouts, so we didn’t have time to prepare a routine,” Coach April Shaw said.
Thursday’s pep rally will be the last of the school year and the final one for senior dance team members.
“I’m kind of disappointed,” senior Briah Denizard said. “It is my last pep rally and I wanted to make it memorable with my girls since I had to miss Senior Night, but I’d rather not do a routine that we are not comfortable with.”
Though they will not perform, the team will make an appearance together at the event.
