Brevard County Dance Competition, usually scheduled for the last weekend in January, might not happen this year.
“In the past, a school dance team has volunteered to host the county competition,” Coach April Shaw said. “We haven’t had a volunteer come forward yet. I have considered hosting it at West Shore, but our gymnasium isn’t big enough to hold all the spectators.”
Dance team has another competition in mind if the County Competition falls through.
“We plan on entering both dance teams in the UDA Regional Dance Competition at Seminole High School in January,” varsity dancer Michelle Smith said.
If the Brevard County Dance Competition finds a host, the date will then move into March.
