The fence on Magnolia Avenue near the track was left damaged during what School Resource Officer Chuck Landmesser is calling a hit-and-run accident that occurred during the weekend.
“Parts of a Nissan were left at the site, but nobody has contacted the police department,” he said. “If anyone witnessed anything, please contact me.”
School administrators recovered a portion of the car’s right tail light section and scraps of metal and plastic that would have surrounded it.
Landmesser said he suspects stormy weather conditions and excessive could have caused the vehicle to hydroplane on a winding portion of the road.
