Gathering around, seniors Rachel Kershaw, Jennifer Saluck, and junior Siera Purden look on as senior Jade Mulvaney cuts into the cat. “The sound of the ribs cracking reminds me of the rat I dissected in seventh grade. It is like a muffled crack, but if you are listening for it, you can hear it,” Purden said. Students dissected the cat to get to the heart while learning about the cardiovascular system in anatomy.
