Making pottery for art class, Keegan Schauman (12) uses a potter’s wheel to shape the clay the way he wants it. “first you have to start with your thumb until you make the hole wide enough to put a finger in, and then two and so on until you can get your  whole hand in.” Schauman said, “Then you start spreading and making the walls thin and really digging your fingers toward the side of the wall to really mold the clay.”
