Eighty-one students were inducted into the National Honor Society in a ceremony in the school auditorium Wednesday night. Brevard County Court Judge Alli B. Majeed gave the keynote address.

“Judge Majeed gave a really moving speech,” junior Stone Kershaw said. “He was very patriotic and made a bunch of really motivating metaphors. One of my favorites was when he related the journey of reaching a final outcome to a ship and its port of call. He discussed how along the way there will be turbulence, but you have to push through because it will all be worth it.”

For many, the induction ceremony marks a first step in a year of community and school-wide service projects.
