Hanging with their homebird, seniors Nikki Gregory, Yasmeen Elsawaf, Lesley Wright and Jennifer Garrido pal around with Donald Duck at the Florida Scholastic Press Association’s Disney Media at the Coronado Resort on Friday. “The Disney atmosphere, mixed with enthusiasm for journalism from Florida high schools from all over the state, made the experience better than I had ever imagined,” said Garrido, co-editor in chief for The Roar. The conference allowed students to interact with Disney cast member who work in journalism-related professions. In addition, attendees previewed a revamped Fantasy Land which will feature exhibits based on “Beauty and the Beast,” “Snow White,” and “The Little Mermaid.”
