Dress code remains behind the times

The dress code has made all of  us frustrated at one point in time because of the ever-changing rules and the strict faculty, but none of us have gone to the extreme side of the dress code. The faculty is always looking around like hawks to see who violated the rules this time. These dress code rules limit the way we can show who we are and limit our First Amendment right to free speech even though we do not lose our rights on the school grounds. I believe that the faculty should be more lenient with the dress code, but with this advantage comes responsibility. Students must know their own limits and can only earn this privilege. Styles have changed and so has the new generation of students meaning that so should our dress code so that it doesn’t stay left behind in our ever-changing world.
