West Shore’s Got Talent, and the the Senior Class is hoping student will turn out to watch their classmates perform.
“We came up with it as a small fund-raiser before spring break,” Vice President Leighton Johnson said.
Johnson said that the set-up will be similar to “America’s Got Talent,” a televised American talent show competition on the NBC television network.
“We’ll have performers with judges and spectators,” Johnson said.
Faith Collins (9) said she’s looking forward to the show.
“I think it is a good way to help boost school spirit and is a fun way to just display talent,” Collins said.
Johnson said this fundraiser had many advantages.
“It’s something fun and simple, not requiring heavy planning,” Johnson said. “The money will go towards subsidizing other Senior Class events, such as Senior Breakfast.”
“West Shore’s Got Talent” will be held at the Auditorium on Tuesday after school. The price for performers will be $5. Tickets to the show are $2 in advance and available on in the commons area during Power hour. Tickets at the gate will be $3.
