Wildcats roll in digital arts show

Junior Marianthi Karas’ illustration titled   “Bubblegum” placed first in the  7th Annual Brevard Digital Arts Show, which featured the work of students from Viera, Rockledge, Merritt Island, Satellite, Bayside and Heritage high schools and from Kennedy Middle School and West Shore Jr./Sr. High School.

West Shore senior Shelbe Spurlock’s “Flower” placed second and junior Alexandria Avrakotos’  “The Building” finished third. Honorable mentions in the category went to Spurlock’s “The Flower” and Viera High School’s Taylor Wolfman, who submitted “Rainy Day.”

In the Photography Category, Merritt Island’s Angela Cook place first with “Time Flies When You are Having Fun,” West Shore’s Rachel Kershaw finished second with “The Scream,” and Merritt Island’s Hannah Pannell took third with “Lost Love.”

Honorable mentions went to West Shore’s Austin Combs for “Floral 32” and Merritt Island’s Cameron Myers for “Pop Art.”

Pablo Remonsellez, Education and Community Arts Manager, Brevard Cultural Alliance served as judge for the competition.
