Viera upends Lady Wildcats 22-5

The girls’ lacrosse team lost to Viera High School 22-5 in its first home game of the season Wednesday. Despite the lopsided loss, freshman Lena Hatter remained optimistic.

“We did pretty well, even though we lost by a pretty considerable amount,” Hatter said ” We’re all growing as a team and really starting to come together.”

The girls have not lost three consecutive games by double-digit margins.

“We really need to focus on passing more and working the ball around the field to our attack so we can shoot more,” freshman Taylor Rothery said.

The Lady Wildcats” next play at home on March 21.
