Sophomores will take the PLAN test on Tuesday, Nov. 5 during first through third period, while the rest of the school is on a silent bell schedule. PLAN is the pre-ACT test, and is tested on the same basic four subjects as the ACT: math, science, reading, and English.
“PLAN is scored on a 1 to 32 scale whereas the ACT is scored on a 1 to 36 scale,” testing coordinator Mike Drake said.
Many sophomores did not stress over PLAN last year, but if they were more informed about its importance then students would have taken it more seriously, according to junior Taylor Kelley.
“I hope to visit language arts classes on Monday to remind students of the importance of this diagnostic tool,” Drake said.
