The Satellite boys’ tennis team came to play, beating the Wildcats 6-1 Feb. 28. Sophomore Hunter Scott was the only boy to win a match against the Scorpions. All other singles and both doubles lost, winning only 12 games in the match. However, Scott won 6-0 6-2.
“When I play, I always play to win,” Scott said. “One strategy I do is I try to annoy the other person so they mess up and I get points from their mistakes.”
Winning doesn’t come as easy to teammate sophomore Nathan Foo. Foo plays line one for the team in singles and doubles. Foo lost 0-6 0-6 in singles and 2-8 in doubles.
“Line one is really hard,” Foo said. “Almost all of the players on line one are really good. Some of them are home-schooled and tennis is their life and the others usually practice multiple hours a day.”
