Girls tennis takes down Edgewood

The lady Wildcats advance their record to 5-1 beating the Indians yesterday on home territory. The girls are on a two game winning streak and feel confident about their match against Merritt Island Christian today.

“The team has been really coming together lately,” sophomore Sidney Jones said.

“We’ve all gotten so much better from the beginning of the season and are all exercising our strengths whenever we step on the court. I don’t see any reason we won’t be just as good if not better tomorrow.”

Other teammates on the team feel the same way transitioning into today’s match.

“We already beat them [Merritt Island Christian] earlier this season and they weren’t too hard of a team,” freshman Sarah Bahsoun said. “If the team keeps playing how it has been lately it shouldn’t be much of a challenge to add another win to our record.”
