Science Olympiad shines at competition

Freshman Caleb Bryant took second place in food science, while freshmen River Grace and Eva Johnson took third place in experimental design at the Science Olympiad Division B competition at the University of Central Florida on March 24. The event included 41 teams and West Shore students competed in 23 events.

Bryant and Johnson also took fourth place in crime busters and fifth place in optics.

Other competitors were eighth-graders Hannah B., Atharva C., David F., Geoffrey G., freshmen Chris Latta and Stephen Latta, eighth-graders Sam M., Michael P., Hunter S. and Mario S.
