The Purrfections dance team will be holding a car wash on Nov. 19 at Double’s Beachside to raise funds for its upcoming season. The original date had to be cancelled and rescheduled due to hurricane Matthew.

“I’m hoping the fund-raiser goes well,” freshman Bella Stazzone said. “There’s no set price to get your car washed, so the amount we make is only from donations.”

Although there is no specifically set goal, the girls hope the donations will lighten the load put on their parents in paying for nationals. The team also sees the fund-raiser as a fun bonding experience.

“My favorite part (of the car wash) is getting to do it with my team —and lunch break,” junior Dominique Sims said.
