NJHS kicks off membership drive

National Junior Honor Society is starting off the year with its annual membership drive that has been extended until Oct. 8.

The addition of new members is always an interesting and important time of the year, according to the club sponsor Anthony Raheb.
“We will have new members and officers which will add a different perspective to our society,” he said.
Students from seventh to ninth grade who have a minimum 3.0 grade-point-average are welcome to join.

Freshman Leighton Johnson is excited for his upcoming year in NJHS.

“I’m looking forward to doing as much as I can for my community and stretch our efforts to even greater reaches hopefully meeting even more people while giving back to my community in a fun way,” he said.

NJHS’s first fundraiser is the food 4 thought drive which begins Oct. 24. Sign-up forms for NJHS can be found in Portable 3.
