The theater department took some students to the production of “Wicked” at the Dr. Phillips Center  in Orlando on Jan. 26.

“I adored the production,” freshman Elena Konicki said, “The actors were phenomenal and the set was ornate, pulling the show together.”

Freshman Sophia Fetouh said she was impressed with the performance.

“It was super enjoyable and the plot twists were never-ending,” she said. “It really changes your perception of the entire ‘Wizard of Oz’ universe.”

Konicki said she already was a fan of the show.

“I love the music, and the costumes were breathtaking,” she said. “Glinda had many outfits that suited her perfectly and it was incredible to watch as Elphaba grew into the witch figure she is in the wizard of oz.”

Overall, the field trip, hosted by drama teacher Breana Davey and chorus teacher Amy Stephens, was a success.

“The show feels very behind the scenes which made “Wicked’ remarkable,” Konicki said
