Middle school history teacher Christine Clark played host to the school’s first Lewis and Clark Fair on Friday.
Clark had eighth-grade students research a topic and create a game for the day-long event. The idea came from an annual fair held at DeLaura Middle School, where Clark taught before coming to West Shore at the beginning of the 2010-2011 school year. The idea is originally based on the St. Louis Centennial and Bicentennial.
“[It’s] been great. The games have been terrific, the kids have been good, but they’re getting tired right now [about 2:00], so it’s time to clean up,” Clark said. “We’re going to keep it open until seventh period, but I think we’re getting a little ruffled here.”
