A chapter ends, as Latin teacher Virginia Wills slips away into the relaxation of retirement.

“It is bitter-sweet to leave the job I have known for so long,” Wills said. “I am looking forward to retirement, but I will miss all the students.”

Latin students such as Chris Peterson and Jake Dimond are sad to see her go, yet satisfied that they got to witness the end of her era.

“I think it’s good she start the end of her life,” Peterson said. “But I think it’s weird because the first and second year Latin students will be getting a new Latin teacher, and no one can ever live up to the legacy of Ms. Wills.”

“We (the Latin III class) are planning something special for her, but I don’t want to spill any more of the beans,” Dimond said.
