Lady Wildcats look for positives in loss to Cocoa

Despite losing to Cocoa 54-19 Wednesday night, some of the players were still pleased with the team’s performance.

“At the beginning of the season we were really bad at moving the ball and couldn’t get it past half court because it would get stolen a lot,” sophomore Zohra Mujeeb said. “But this game was probably our best game regarding getting passed this issue.”

Sophomore Lasya Damaraju also opted to focus on the positive aspects of the game.

“You could tell that our defense has improved and so has our communication,” she said. “And as for our offense, one good thing we did was we’re looking more to find open shots instead of only taking the obvious ones.”

The Lady Wildcats’ next game will be its Senior Night on Friday against Cocoa Beach.
