Lacrosse closes season with banquet

Friday  marked the official end of the boys’ and girls’ lacrosse seasons. Players and their families gathered in the cafeteria for desserts to receive varsity letters and extra awards. A slide show displayed photos from throughout the season, seniors were recognized and gag awards were given in categories including Most Spirited Parents and Miss Congeniality.

Senior Ben Schwaller said the party was a fitting way to end the season.

“The party was fun because it was one final gathering of both teams, coaches and parents, and we got to remember memories from throughout the season. I’m going to miss both teams when I leave for college,” he said.

Sophomore Christine Sherry also had positive reviews about the festivities.

“I got the Top Offensive Player award for the girls’ team, and I was really excited because it showed that all of my hard work paid off,” she said. “The party was great because we got to remember all of the inside jokes we made during games and practices.”

Special thanks also were given to coaches and board members who helped organize the season.
