Jazz Band rehearses for future gigs

The band has been getting a lot of positive feedback from those who have heard them perform.

“I really have faith in this years lineup,” eighth-grader Katherine B. said. “We have a lot of talented people in jaz band. I expect to be blown away by their performances. Also River [Grace] is a cool dude.”

The ensemble is ready to play at another gig at the Victoria Landing retirement home on Dec. 11 from 11 a.m. to noon.

“A majority of the people at Victoria Landing had grown up listening to jazz,” senior Jacob Booe said. “I really enjoy playing for the people who are at Victoria Landing because they seem as passionate about music as I am, and that forms a connection between me and the audience.”

The group also will be playing at the band’s Winter Concert at Eau Gallie High School in the auditorium on Dec. 16. The show is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
