High-school play auditions postponed

Auditions for the high-school play “The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940,” which were previously scheduled for Thursday, were canceled after Director Maureen Fallon fell ill.

“I just hope Ms. Fallon is OK,” sophomore Alexis Vander said. “I don’t know what we would do without her, and I want her recovery to go well.”

Fallon said she would be out until after Winter Break and will not hold the auditions until she returns.

Junior Victoria Skaggs found a silver-lining in the situation.

“With midterms coming up, I find its cancellation beneficial in the sense that it is one less thing to stress over,” she said.

Although the auditions have not yet been rescheduled, Skaggs is confident the setback will not negatively affect the show.

“I feel Ms. Fallon knows what she is doing and will set things up so that things go according to schedule with or without her being here,” she said.
