Girls’ lacrosse workouts begin

The girls’ lacrosse team began team workouts Thursday. The team will hold conditioning on Mondays and there will be open-facility workouts on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Conditioning will be open only to the boys’ and girls’ teams but the open facility workouts will be open to anyone that would like to try the sport.

“We have a lot of promising new players,” sophomore Isabel Richards said. “Now that we have gotten to know each other, we work really well.”

Junior Ashley Peters said there is much work to be done.

“I think this is going to be a learning season,” Peters said. “We have some new players that we will teach so they get better and we progress.”

To participate in the team conditioning athletes, need to complete the paperwork which can be found on the West Shore athletic website. Along with paperwork, athletes need running shoes and athletic attire to participate. Open facility workouts will not require the athletes paperwork.
