‘Frozen II’ arrives in theaters

After just under six years, Disney has released its followup to “Frozen.” Expected to top the list of the animated films of 2019, “Frozen II” has drawn Christian Garcia’s (9) notice.

“Judging by the trailers I think it’s going to be better than the first,” Garcia (9) said. “The only reason I wouldn’t go to watch it would be because I don’t have time. Disney movies usually take that long to produce so I don’t find that disappointing.”

Because of the little advertising and long production time, some did not expect or know that a second edition was coming out.

“Honestly, I didn’t even know that a second one was coming out,” chorus teacher Amy Davis said. “I really liked the first one and I have a lot of little nieces and they will most likely get me to take them. I feel like the sequels are never better. Some of them have been as good, but very few, so I don’t really know how good it will be. Even after six years, I think it’s still fresh in people’s minds especially with all the stuff out at Disney the merchandise and new rides.

“Frozen II” is rated PG with a runtime of 1 hour and 43 minutes. Tickets are available online at Regal and in theaters.
