Eau Gallie tunes in to music festival

The Space Coast Music Festival will be held Saturday at the Eau Gallie Square Pavilion, a Highland Avenue municipal parking lot and the Intracoastal Brewing Co. beer garden. The Space Coast Music Festival is composed of a variety of musical acts, all from Brevard. The event will showcase 68 bands playing on six stages.

“I think this event is popular because people want to see local talent,” Carsen Brown (9) said. “They [people in attendance of the event] can support their local bands.”

Along with the bands playing, the event will also consist of vendors and food trucks. The majority of the bands playing at the festival will be playing rock music. There will also be other types of entertainment such as yoga and some family activities.

“I think people should attend this music festival because it really is a great cultural mix for different genres and is a great learning experience for students,” said Laya Damaraju (9) said. “I think it is also a good opportunity for Brevard local bands to showcase their talents.”

The event will begin around noon and end at about 10 p.m. This event raises funds which are used to support music programs for the youth.
