Freshman Danielle Gelin and sophomore Gabriella Stazzone performed among other Dance Mania Allstars dancers at a showcase at in the school gym Saturday.

“I definitely had an amazing time,” Gelin said. “I was proud of all the West Shore students who came to support. ”

However, Gelin did have some concerns with West Shore being the location of the showcase.

“There wasn’t enough seating,” Gelin said. “Also, the air conditioning didn’t accommodate for the amount of people.”

This was West Shore’s first time holding an event like this. It was designed to take place of a previous event the West Shore dance team and Dance Mania attended at Edgewood called the Edgewood Showcase.

“I thought West Shore was a great location. It’s convenient, and the dance team performed,” Stazzone said. “I think all we need for next time is more awareness of the event and more seating on the floor.”
