The Mandelbrot math competitions are done for this year, with sophomore Ian Chan as the highest overall scorer. Chan had a cumulative score of 36 points from five competitions. Sophomore Lexie Krehbiel came in second with a score of 25 and freshman Esha Bansal got third with an overall score of 16 points.
“The Mandelbrot competitions are very challenging; and this year was no exception,” club sponsor Debra Jerdon said.
Students in the Mu Alpha Theta club have also been participating in Florida Math League competitions. The last one has been scheduled for Monday during club.
