Drama department welcomes Davey

The drama department is getting a new face. Breana Davey has been hired this year to be the new theater teacher for middle and high-schoolers.

“[I’m] loving [West Shore],” she said. “Everyone from faculty to students has been so helpful and welcoming through everything. I feel lucky to be a Wildcat.”

West Shore is Davey’s first teaching job.

“[I’ve been teaching] only about a month or so,” she said. “I was in theater when I was in high school and always had a passion for the arts.”

Davey said she has made changes to her classroom to minimize the spread of COVID-19.

“I make sure to minimize close contact between everyone in the classroom as well as practicing safety procedures to make sure everyone is wearing masks and sanitizing,” she said. “I try to keep assignments in either an online method or non-paper format.”
