The boys’ varsity soccer team earns its ninth win Tuesday by upending Astronaut High School 9-1.
“The whole team got to play,” junior Jimmy Madden said. “Even the secondary players stepped up to the plate and did well.”
The team’s only loss was to Montverde Academy, a private school near Orlando.
“Montverde recruits players from all over the world to put on their soccer team,” sophomore Jimmy Murren said. “It costs a crazy amount of money to go there. They’re something like the top team in the nation. They’re our only really tough competition in our district.”
