Traveling to the Brevard County Commission offices in Viera, at 9 a.m. Tuesday, the varsity boys’ soccer team was recognized for its Class 2A state soccer championship and awarded a school certificate for athletic achievement as well as individual certificates.
“This is like meeting the president for pros,” senior and captain Kevin ‘Ginga Ninja’ Kurtz said. “I’m just going to tell my kids that I went to Washington.”
The boys celebrated their monumental feat and next will prepare for their upcoming soccer banquet at Doubles to end the season.
“Next week it’s Oprah,” Principal Rick Fleming said.
