Boys’ lacrosse falls to Edgewood 23-5

The boys’ lacrosse team continued its losing streak, losing 23-5 to rival Edgewood on Friday night. Juniors Adam Zoiss and Ryan Ringrose both scored for West Shore.

“It looked good before the game started. The team was ready and in hope for a win,” said Ringrose, who opened the scoring.

“I caught the ball from [junior] Wesley [Dennis], sprinted towards the goal and shot it between the goalie’s legs,” Ringrose said. “This happened in the first 20 seconds and then everything went downhill from there. They came back and scored five times in a row. We could not keep up with them. Their team was well-prepared, and they had more substitutions.”

The boys next play Viera High on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
