Boys’ basketball summer workouts will begin on May 24 and continue every Tuesday and Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon in the gym. Anyone wanting to participate must have a completed physical in order to play. Also, the coaches are adding a new regulation for summer workouts.

“ We have decided to make ankle braces mandatory for summer workouts,” Coach Tony Riopelle said. “The program has had a lot of ankle injuries and the braces will reduce the chance for injury.”

In addition to the workouts, the team will participate in multiple team camps including Stetson team camp, Florida Institute of Technology team camp and a team camp hosted by Rockledge. The coaches will select 12 players they feel will participate the best in team camps.

“The best part of summer workouts is the team camps, there a lot of fun and a chance for everyone on the team to play at the varsity level against teams we will face in season,” assistant Coach Bob Salazar said.
