Members of the boys’ basketball team must find their own rides home after budget cuts have reduced bus travel to one way.
“It’s tough because most people drive to school and have to get a ride back to West Shore after the game to get their cars,” varsity player Anthony Wattwood said.
All team members must ride the bus to the away games, according to junior varsity captain Shane Potter. Because the players’ parents usually attend all of the games, finding a ride home isn’t a problem.
“I would prefer to have no buses at all rather than buses only one way because after the game my teammates and I can go out to eat and hang out,” Wattwood said.
