‘Wizard of Oz’ draws rave reviews

The school’s theater department performed its all-school musical, “The Wizard of Oz,” with five  shows throughout the weekend.
“It was really fabulously well done,” senior Kelly Stokes said. “The costumes were really professional, and it was hilarious.”
Senior Nicole Gregory agreed. Gregory complimented the play’s costuming and casting.
“I also thought the use of animals in the play was perfect,” Gregory said. “It was a big risk, but I think it definitely paid off in the end.”
Senior Jarrett Poore from Eau Gallie High School hads a couple of friends performing in the musical and came to see them.
“I loved Michaela’s dress,” Poore said about Michaela Vine’s costume. Vine played Glenda the Good Witch.
Before the performance freshman Chase Radel, who played a Munchkin and Oz citizen, said she thought the performance would be fun and full of energy, and after the first show her expectations were met.
“I was really proud of the great effort the cast put into the show,” Radel said. “It was great.”
