Senior Kaitlyn Forry and junior Tess Sheets led the team with 15 kills apiece in the Lady Wildcats’ 26-28, 25-22, 25-19, 25-23 victory against Cocoa High School in the West Shore gym Thursday.

“The Cocoa Tigers play a scrappy defensive game, making it a challenge for us to place the ball on the floor,” Coach Bonnie Priester said. “Luckily we rose to the challenge and came out victorious. With our record being 9-1, we are continuing our winning ways. We are now preparing to face Satellite at home on Tuesday.”

Although Lady Wildcats dropped the first set to the Tigers, they turned the tide by playing a strong defensive game. The team combined for a total of 53 digs, which set the stage for the offensive plays to take effect.

The Lady Wildcats also will play at Cocoa Beach High School.
