Lady ‘Cats finish winning season off strong

The girls’ middle school basketball team defeated archrival Edgewood 34-13 in their final game last night. They finished the season 9-1, finishing tied for first with the Space Coast Vipers in the Central Division. Space Coast holds the tie-breaker over our Lady Wildcats, so they will be advancing to the playoffs.

Coach Derek Hamilton says that this young group of girls has a lot of potential moving forward.

“I am so proud of these girls,” Hamilton said. “They’re tough, strong, physical, and always mentally ready to play. Congratulate these young ladies on a spectacular season. Our girls’ basketball program is on the rise.”

The varsity girls’ basketball season kicks off at home on Nov. 17 at 6 pm.
