The Wildcats host Edgewood Friday night as they honor seniors Kyle Fitzgerald and Savannah Green as they play their final game in front of the home crowd.

“For me personally I think [senior night] is very exciting,” Fitzgerald said. “Considering I’m going to be the only senior there besides Savannah.”

After three years of playing girls’ lacrosse, Green said there will be a big void in her life once the season has ended.

“For the past week, I’ve been wondering what I’m going to do with myself for the rest of the semester now that [Lacrosse] is over,” Green said. “I think it’s going to take a little bit to sink in because I’ve been doing this so often and so frequently and for so long, it’s going to be really weird I think. I’m excited for the cute little ceremony and everything, with my family there. I was really worried they were going to have our ceremonies separately.”

Fitzgerald has been on the boys’ varsity team since he his freshmen year and due to a knee injury he suffered earlier this season, he will not be able to take the field for his senior night.

“[Lacrosse] has meant the world to me, I put everything, my heart and soul, into lacrosse,” Fitzgerald said. “There’s nothing more important than that. [I’m] extremely disappointed that I can’t play, there’s nothing more I’d rather want.”

The Lady ‘Cats game kicks off at 5:30 pm, followed by the senior night festivities, with the boys’ game beginning at 7 pm.
