Time running out for dual-enrollment testing

As the qualifying test  scores start pouring in to the school’s guidance office for  students who hope to dual enroll at Brevard Community College for the  2011-2012 school year, few opportunities for orientations remain. BCC Melbourne campus will offer the test on March 8, March 21 and April 6. The Palm Bay campus will offer it on April 11 and the Cocoa campus on March 16 and April 13.

“I had no  idea that they would be so soon,” sophomore Virginia Compton said. “ I haven’t even taken the test yet.”

Before attending one of the orientations, students must visit a BCC campus and schedule an appointment to take the qualifying test.

“We have to get them in early, seeing as enrollment for the summer semester has already begun,” West Shore guidance counselor  Glenda Lovell said.

All dual-enrollment packets must be turned in to guidance by April 29.

For more information on BCC orientations, contact the college at 632-1111.
