NEHS holds inductions

The National English Honor society recently held its annual induction ceremony to welcome new members.

“I was pleased with the inductions and the selections for new officers,” senior Savannah Green said.

Poet Bennu Ra Hetep also joined the inductions in reading some of his original poetry

The poet was really emotive and enthralled the audience,” NEHA President Tena Gordon said. “ I enjoyed his poems about black culture, especially because I can personally relate to the content.”

Green reflected on the year and the club’s future.

“I think this year came a long way from past years and that we made some good progress in rebuilding NEHS,” she said.. “I hope that [the officers] can lead the club to grow and do even more next year.”
