The middle-school Future Problem Solvers team recently took first place in its division for Team Booklet Competition at the state convention, earning an invitation to International Competition at the University of Iowa in June. The team includes Austin H., C. Foo, Fatima H. and Sophia N.

“My first year of doing FPS and we won first place at states and are going to the international competition, the experience was like no other, so many kids of different places and teams working together,” Austin H. said. “I’m really glad I joined this with my friends.

The team booklet includes a small group who work together to solve a future problem through a detailed six-step process.
