The men’s bowling team beat Melbourne High School 4-3, but the women’s team lost 1-6 on Sept. 1 at Harbour Lanes.

“The boys did quite well. Everyone got to bowl, which is always good,” Coach Kirk Murphy said. “Although the girls lost, they did better than the first match.”

According to Murphy, senior Derek D’Esposito is an up-and-comer on the men’s team, and senior Lauren Brown a standout on the women’s squad.

Junior Timmy Pham said was proud of the win.

“We were very successful because we shut them out in the first three games,” he said.
