Eighth-graders Shane G. and Vaughn A. placed first and third in the Space Coast Junior tour 12-14 age group this past Sunday at Indian River Preserve golf club.

“This is the first tournament I won,” Shane said. “And it feels pretty good.  I struck the ball really good and took some chances that paid off.”

Shane shot an 87 for 17 holes.  The 18th hole was eliminated from the scorecard due to darkness.

“On hole 1,5 the sprinklers turned on and made it hard to play,” Vaughn said “The players at the earlier tee time didn’t have to deal with that problem.”

Vaughn shot 102 for 17 holes.
