Condo’s art to grace show’s cover

The  School Board Art Show is coming up and one of the school’s AP Drawing and Painting students is partially responsible for the show’s cover art.

“I did a self-portrait oil painting of me lying down with my hair out and orchids in my hair,” senior Jaida Condo said.  “I’m pretty proud of it and I feel honored to be a part of it. I was working on and off on that piece for over three months, and it’s cool to see that hard work pay off.”

The art show has been scheduled for April 25 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the School Board offices in Viera.

“[Graphic design teacher Jim] Finch and I are currently putting in works for the cover design for the entire Brevard County School Board,” 2-D/3-D art teacher Matt Henderson said.

Each art teacher also is responsible for picking out four artists and one of each of their pieces to go into the show.

“I will be putting in a couple works from both 2-D students and 3-D students,” Henderson said. “I know I’m going to be putting in Grace Bryant, Jaida Condo, and Miwaal Murshid although I still have one opening left.”
