The girls JV and varisty teams recently held tryouts and many of the new players chosen are middle-schoolers.
” I’m very happy to make the team and I think it will be a great season,” seventh-grader Mary B. said.
Junior Victoria D’Esposito says tryouts no longer are a big deal for her.
“It doesn’t feel very different making varsity basketball anymore because I’ve been on the team since eighth grade,” she said.
The girls have been practicing for hours every day to prepare for their Nov. 14 home-opener.
